I Am a Freelance SEO Expert. Not an Agency. Not a Team. Just One Person Who Does This Exceptionally Well.
There is something that every business owner discovers at some point, usually after wasting six months and a lot of money: most SEO consultants are selling the idea of SEO more than they are actually doing it.
I am not here to sell you an idea. I am here to fix a problem.
My name is Ajitkumar Gupta. I am a Freelance SEO Expert based in India, and for the past 4+ years I have been doing exactly one thing: helping businesses in India, the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia get found by the customers who are already searching for what they sell.
If you want to understand what I do, how I think and whether I am the right person for your business, this page will tell you everything. If you are already confident, the fastest next step is to request a free SEO audit or get in touch directly.
Why I Started Doing This Work
When I first encountered SEO, I was struck by something that still drives everything I do today. Here is a business with a genuinely great product or service. Here is a customer who is actively searching for exactly that product or service, right now, on Google. And between the two of them stands nothing except an algorithm that neither side fully understands.
That gap fascinated me. More importantly, it frustrated me, because I could see that closing it was not magic. It was methodology.
I spent years developing that methodology. Not by following someone else’s template, but by testing, building, failing, recovering and building again across dozens of industries, dozens of markets and every kind of website architecture imaginable. The methodology I have now is the result of 4+ years of doing this for real businesses with real consequences attached to the results.
I started as a freelancer because I believe the best SEO work happens when one expert owns a project from strategy to execution without any agency overhead, account management layers or junior consultants learning on your budget.
That conviction has not changed.
What I Actually Do
I help businesses rank higher in Google. I help them appear in Google’s AI Overviews, in the featured snippets at the top of the search page, in the People Also Ask boxes, and increasingly in the AI-powered search tools that are reshaping how people find information: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot.
The full scope of what this involves is covered on the SEO Services. The short version is this: I identify why your website is not ranking as highly as it should, I build a strategy to fix that, and I execute the strategy myself.
Every part of that process, the audit, the keyword research, the technical fixes, the content strategy, the link building, the reporting, is done by me. Not by a subcontractor in another city. Not by a junior who just got certified last month. By me, with 4+ years of hard-won experience behind every decision.
The Three Layers of Search I Work Across
Most SEO consultants work in one layer of search. I work across three, because in 2025, one is no longer enough.
Traditional SEO is the foundation. Google organic rankings. Keyword targeting. Technical site health. Backlink authority. This is what most people mean when they say SEO, and it remains critically important.
Answer Engine Optimization, or AEO, is the middle layer. Getting your content into the direct answer formats that appear above organic results: featured snippets, People Also Ask boxes, voice search answers, and the AI Overview summaries that Google now displays at the top of many search results pages. These positions capture attention before any organic result is seen.
Generative Engine Optimization, or GEO, is the frontier. When someone asks ChatGPT to recommend a consultant in your category, or asks Perplexity to explain a problem your product solves, or uses Google Gemini to research a decision they are about to make, the businesses that appear in those AI-generated answers have built something genuinely new: visibility in the search channel that is growing faster than any other. I specialize in building exactly that.
Most of my competitors in India are not yet talking about AEO. Almost none of them are executing GEO. This represents a first-mover advantage for every client I work with right now, and a significant competitive edge for my own practice.
Who I Work With
Business owners in India who have watched their competitors climb up Google while their own website sits invisible on page four. They have usually tried one or two things before, a freelancer who disappeared, an agency that sent reports without results, a nephew who “knows about websites.” They are not naive about SEO anymore; they are just looking for someone who will actually deliver.
Companies in the United States, United Kingdom and Australia who have realized that hiring a local agency at local rates does not automatically produce better results than hiring a specialist in India who understands their market. My US, UK and Australian clients work with me because I have specific, proven experience ranking websites in their markets, not because they are cutting costs. The cost advantage is real, but it is not the reason they stay.
SaaS founders and product teams who need to build an organic acquisition channel alongside their paid growth strategy. SEO for SaaS is a specific discipline that generalist consultants routinely mishandle. I understand the long consideration cycles, the intent hierarchy from educational to commercial, the importance of ranking for both the problem terms and the solution terms, and the content architecture that makes a SaaS site authoritative in its category.
Ecommerce brands on Shopify, WooCommerce and Magento who are trying to compete in organic search against category giants with ten times the domain authority. I know where the ranking opportunities are in ecommerce, how to capture them at the product and category level, and how to build the topical authority that makes those gains sustainable.
Digital agencies that need a reliable, professional white-label SEO partner. I have worked with agencies in Australia, the UK and the US as a silent delivery partner for client campaigns. I sign NDAs, deliver under your brand, never contact your clients directly, and make your agency look exceptional. This arrangement has a dedicated page if you want the details.
What I Believe About SEO
I believe that SEO is not a shortcut. It is a compounding investment. The work you do in month one pays dividends in month twelve, and those dividends grow over time if the work is done correctly.
I also believe that SEO built on genuine quality, real authority and clean technical foundations is the only kind worth building. Tactics that circumvent Google’s guidelines produce short-term gains and long-term disasters. I have spent years helping businesses recover from the aftermath of those disasters. I do not create them.
My approach is grounded in Google’s E-E-A-T framework: Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness and Trustworthiness. Every page I optimize, every piece of content I brief, every backlink I acquire is designed to strengthen those four signals, because they are what Google’s systems are fundamentally trying to measure and reward.
This philosophy means the results take a little longer to appear in some cases. It also means they last.
A Specific Point for International Clients
When a business in the United States or United Kingdom decides to hire an SEO expert from India, they are usually carrying a quiet concern about whether an India-based consultant will genuinely understand their market.
It is a fair question. Here is the honest answer.
I have spent years studying and working within US, UK and Australian search markets, not just Indian ones. I understand the competitive dynamics of Google US versus Google India. I understand the content standards, the vocabulary, the buyer psychology and the search behavior that differ between markets. I have case studies with results from each of these markets, not just claims.
If you would like to discuss a specific project in your market, the contact page has a form that takes three minutes to fill out. I read every submission personally and respond within 24 hours.
Credentials and Tools
I work with Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog SEO Spider, Surfer SEO, PageSpeed Insights and Schema Markup Validator on a daily basis. I keep my knowledge current because search changes continuously and an expert who is not learning is falling behind.
The industries I have worked in include SaaS, ecommerce, B2B professional services, healthcare, real estate, finance, education, hospitality, manufacturing and legal services. If your industry is not on this list, the underlying principles of SEO are consistent across sectors and I have likely worked in something adjacent.
The Difference Between Good SEO and SEO That Changes a Business
I have seen both sides of this. I have taken on clients whose previous consultants had done competent work that produced modest improvements and then plateaued. I have also seen what happens when every element of a search strategy comes together: the technical foundation is clean, the content is genuinely authoritative, the backlink profile is strong and diverse, and the site is optimized not just for traditional search but for the AI-powered search channels where discovery is increasingly happening.
When all of those things are true simultaneously, organic search stops being a cost center and becomes the most reliable, scalable lead generation channel a business has. The leads arrive without ongoing ad spend. The rankings are defensible against competitors. The business is visible not just in Google but in the tools that are replacing the way a new generation of buyers find solutions.
That is the outcome I work toward for every client. It is not always achievable in 90 days. It is always achievable in 12 months with the right foundation.
If you want to understand what that foundation looks like for your specific website, start with the SEO Services, or go straight to the free seo audit request and I will show you exactly what needs to happen for your site specifically.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many years of experience do you have in SEO?
I have 4+ years of professional SEO experience working with businesses in India, the USA, the UK and Australia. Across that time I have worked in 2+ industries, managed 50+ client campaigns and developed a methodology that applies consistently across markets and business models.
Do you work with international clients remotely?
Yes. A significant portion of my client base is outside India. I work entirely remotely through email, video calls and project management tools, and I am available during overlap hours for US, UK and Australian clients. Remote engagement does not compromise the quality of the work or the depth of communication.
What is your approach to Google algorithm updates?
I build SEO on fundamentals that have remained consistent through every major Google update: genuine content quality, clean technical architecture, earned authority and a site that serves users well. When an algorithm update lands, the sites I manage have historically either been unaffected or have benefited, because updates typically reward what we have already built and penalize the shortcuts we never took.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes. For agency white-label arrangements, I sign a mutual NDA as standard. For clients with competitive concerns, I am happy to discuss confidentiality arrangements before any engagement begins.
What is the first step to working with you?
The fastest way to start is the free SEO audit. I review your website, identify the most significant barriers to your rankings, and give you a clear, honest assessment of your current situation. There is no obligation to continue. If you would prefer to speak first, send me a message and we can schedule a discovery call.
